The National Practitioner Data Bank Query Fee Waiver is Extended

As health centers continue to struggle with the challenges of COVID-19, the National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) has extended the query fee waiver for one-time queries, continuous queries and continuous query renewals. The extension is
retroactive from June 1, 2020 and will be effective through September 30, 2020. Credits will be issued to those entities that submitted one-time queries, continuous
queries, and continuous query renewals between June 1, 2020 and June 30, 2020. As outlined in the HRSA Health Center Primary Care Digest dated July 7, 2020, “The waiver supports efforts to mobilize and deploy health professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic by reducing costs and expediting credentialing, hiring, privileging, and licensing processes.” For additional information regarding the temporary waiver, health centers can visit NPDB Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Boards demand measurable insight, and leadership needs confidence that exposure is managed before it becomes a liability. The standard has shifted from activity to impact.
