In our many years of working closely with health center executives (as well as being health center executives in our former careers), we have learned that it truly can be lonely at the top.
Many FQHC executives have nowhere to go to get support and assistance with the challenges they face at work.
It can be hard to find someone who understands your role enough to be able to help. Unfortunately, there is also potential embarrassment or judgement in admitting to colleagues – or, heaven forbid, your boss – that you don’t have all the answers.
At best, you might be lucky enough to know someone at another health center who has been in a similar situation, or you might be able to hire a good consultant. But, if you don’t have access to qualified help, you might suffer embarrassment and wasted time on unproductive solutions – Or you might even do something that makes the problem worse!
In response to these obstacles faced by health center executives, Compliatric and FQHC Associates have partnered to build FQHC Connect.
