Stepping Up When It Matters Most
Compliatric would like to say a huge “Thank You” to all its clients for the tremendous work they are doing, and share with you HRSA’s Primary Care Digest acknowledgement of our client, Universal Community Health Center!
Extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures. Health centers across the nation have distinguished themselves in responding to the current pandemic.
Universal Community Health Center (Los Angeles, CA) conducts on-site, tele-assisted patient physicals using a high-definition camera, otoscope, and stethoscope to ensure safe distancing during service delivery. (They used their COVID-19 funding to purchase needed equipment.) This method is used to conduct 75-80% of the medical exam, reducing exposure for both the clinic staff and the patient while maintaining quality of care in a true clinical setting. It also helps meet the needs of underserved communities, where many patients lack access to the internet and the technologies required for remote telehealth exams. The tele-assisted visits have boosted patient visits by 30-40%.
Regulators are no longer satisfied with documentation alone; they want evidence that your compliance program actively prevents, detects, and corrects risk. Investigators expect to see how issues are identified early, investigated thoroughly, corrected effectively, and monitored over time. Boards demand measurable insight, and leadership needs confidence that exposure is managed before it becomes a liability. The standard has shifted from activity to impact.
